UPDATED 03:56 4th January 2013

Henriquez is another of Latics’ 2013 January signings to have made an instant impact for the Club.

He made his debut as a second half substitute in the 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup third round and started the subsequent replay but, it was his first ever Barclays Premier League appearance that caught the eye as he came on in the second half against Sunderland to score his first goal for Latics.

The Chilean international joined Latics on the first day of the 2013 January transfer window on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.

He only joined United in the summer of 2012 when he moved over from Universidad de Chile.

While at his native club, Henriquez lit up the Chilean Primera Division, scoring nine goals in 10 starts in 2012.

His international career started with a bang too as he scored on his debut for the Chilean national side against Serbia.

Henriquez also has 14 goals in 10 games for the Under 20 side and has represented Chile at both Under 15 and Under 17 levels.
