Robles signed for Latics on loan from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window, having spent the 2011/12 season on loan with La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.
The 6 foot 3 inch Spanish goalkeeper is a dominating figure between the sticks and proved exactly that when he made his club debut against Macclesfield Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Robles kept a clean sheet that day, following a trend set by his team mate Ali Al Habsi who did the same on his debut against Hartlepool United in League Cup in 2010.
He has played three times for his parent club Atletico and picked up a winners medal in the 2010 Europa League final as he was an unused sub in their victory against Fulham.
Robles also has a runners up medal from the Copa Del Rey after Atletico lost out in the final to Sevilla.
