Upon signing in July 2012, the young Scottish midfielder became the sixth player in the current Latics squad to have made the journey from North of the border and the transition from the Scottish Premier League to the Barclays Premier League.
Fyvie is a technically gifted but combatant midfielder, who for a player still in the early years of his career has grown to apply a confident maturity due to the number of games he has played at professional level for Aberdeen.
The Aberdeen born player made his debut just four months after his 16th birthday as the Dons faced Hamilton Academical in August 2009.
After making a positive impact on the team, Fyvie was given further chances and by January 2010 he had netted his first SPL goal, making him the youngest ever to do so as he opened the scoring in a 3-0 victory against Hearts.
His power off the ball and ability to read the game make him the prime candidate for the centre of Latics' midfield and the experience gained whilst at Aberdeen make him a hot prospect.
Fyvie's talents are highly regarded beyond club level and on the international scene he has represented Scotland at under 17 and under 19 levels, the latter being his current port of call.
