Adam captained the Development Squad last season, leading by example with his robust, committed and calculated approach from the right side of defence.
A fearless competitor, Buxton is strong in the tackle but does enjoy supporting the attack as well, judging his bombing runs forward well and knowing when best to hold back.
Injury in the opening game of last season against Fulham ruled Buxton out until mid-October, but his return bolstered the defence and led to him making 16 appearances in all competitions.
