ANDY MITCHELL – Head Physiotherapist
D.O.B: 08 06 1977
Worcester-born Andy is a highly experienced sports physiotherapist and sports scientist who has worked in top line sport for over a decade.
Having earned his physiotherapy degree from Bradford University, he earned a Masters Degree at Leeds University before taking up the post of Head Physiotherapist at Cheltenham Town in 1999 for three years.
A spell at a private hospital and Yorkshire Cricket Club followed before he begun a six year spell as Head Physiotherapist at Burnley, three of those years with Owen Coyle, whom he then followed to Bolton in 2010. He was famously on the scene when Fabrice Muamba suffered his near fatal heart attack in 2012, an incident he says has had a profound effect on his own outlook on life. He has now rejoined Owen Coyle at the DW Stadium.
