Dave Watson was once again happy with his team from an attacking point of view, with the goals coming from Michael Jukes and Callum McManaman.
But defensively, Macclesfield had a huge physical presence and Watson said ther game was a good learning curve for his side.
"They need to be up for the physical battle when they come across players like that," he said.
