Wigan Athletic's Youth Team were unlucky not to progress to the Semi-Finals of the LFA Youth Cup after defeat in a penalty shout-out to Bury.

Dave Watson's team twice came from behind to draw level with the visitors thanks to goals from Hydara Thijan and captain Callum Morris.

Morris' equaliser came in dramatic fashion after Latics were awarded a 90^th minute penalty. The midfielder showed good nerve to draw level and take the game to penalties.

Successful spot-kicks from Ryan Watson and Steven Boothman kept the pressure on the visitors who converted all four of their penalties.

However it wasn't to be with Timothy Chow missing his spot-kick and Morris unable to repeat the composure shown only minutes beforehand.
