Seoul-born Cho was able to link up with Latics outside of the transfer window when his contract with former club Korean K-League outfit, Suwon Bluewings, ran out.Clearly Cho is clearly eyed by Steve Bruce as a midfield player, but he has also played in defence.
Cho joins Wigan having made 27 appearances for his country which was not enough to secure his work permit.However, had it not been for injuries, he would have met the full criteria and for that reason the Premier League recommended it be approved.
Before joining Wigan, Cho also had trials with AS Monaco.
