World Cup bound Serbian international goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković was Roberto Martinez's first signing of the January 2010 transfer window after agreeing to a loan deal from Portuguese club Sporting of Lisbon until the end of the season.
The Serbian, who come from a sporting faimily, his father having been a goalkeeper and his mother a handball player, has recetnly had loan spells at Getafe and Vitesse. He previous played for FC Nantes, Red Star Belgrade and FK Zemun.
Six feet five inches tall, Stojkovic declared himself to be "delighted" to have agreed the move.
