Preview
Wigan entertain champions Chelsea in the late kick off on Saturday, looking to bounce back from the opening day defeat to Blackpool. Chelsea arrive for the game on the back on an emphatic 6-0 win over West Bromwich Albion. However it is well documented how Latics defeated Chelsea, in what was their first win over a so-called big four team, last September in this fixture.
Team News
Latics are without Victor Moses who is recovering from the groin injury he picked up in the opening day defeat to Blackpool. Gary Caldwell is still recovering from summer hip surgery. The manager has also hinted that Charles N'Zogbia could be in line for a return to the side.
The Manager
The Wigan Athletic manager, Roberto Martinez believes that Saturday's opponents are the best team in the league and is well aware his side will have to be on the money, to stand any chance of a repeat of last season's win.
"Chelsea in my eyes have the strongest squad in the league, but we're ready to react from our disappointment and be competitive in a game why showed last season we're capable of winning," said Martinez.
"They've been working together as a squad for a number of seasons and have had tremendous results.
"Everything you look for in a successful team; experience, strength, power and quality they possess in big amounts.
"You need to be at your very best to compete with that, but our game against them here last season shows we are capable of performing against such an opponent.
"To do that we need to be perfect in everything we do, learning lessons from last weekend's game."

One to Watch:
It's not easy to pick a 'one to watch' from a squad containing so much world-class talent. But Didier Drogba is arguably the best striker in the world at this point in time, if Latics can stop him from scoring, they may just be able to get something out of the game.
The Ivorian opened up his Premier League account this season with a hat-trick against newly promoted West Brom last weekend.
Stat Attack
Chelsea have gone 406 minutes without conceding a league goal. The last goal they conceded was against Spurs in April.
Wigan are just one goal short of reaching 100 home Preper League goals.
