Wigan Athletic still offering extended payment opportunities for Season Tickets

Having recently been unveiled by FourFourTwo Magazine as the Club with the sixth cheapest season tickets in the whole of the Premier League and Football League, Wigan Athletic confirm that the opportunity to make your payment for season tickets via Direct Debit is still available, making watching Latics even more easily affordable.

The Club took the decision at the start of the summer to introduce not only a series of new price points to suit young adults and families, but also a new payment plan to spread the cost over a longer time scale making access to season tickets easier than ever. For supporters who applied to be a part of the scheme before 30th June, that meant that the season ticket payment could be spread over eight months, double the four month period which had applied in previous years.

The scheme REMAINS OPEN for supporters wishing to pay in this manner, but owing to the first payment deadlines having elapsed, the payments missed between 30th June and now would need to be paid for on an up front basis. This policy remains the same as in previous years, but the payments are smaller owing to the wider spread of payments.

For example, a supporter wishing to purchase a season ticket in the £250 price bracket would have an interest charge of £27.50 imposed for a total of £277.50. To join the Direct Debit scheme at this stage, the initial payment would be £69.36 with a further payment of £34.68 due on 27th August. From thereon, there would be five further payments including the final payment on 28th January 2011.

Wigan Athletic ask supporters who are looking to purchase season tickets on Saturday to please visit the DW Stadium ticket office as early as possible, as owing to the expected levels of supporters attending to purchase season tickets. Season ticket purchases may be made at the main West Stand ticket office whilst match tickets may be purchased from the East Stand ticket office.
