Routledge teams up with Hamilton until January

Wigan Athletic can confirm that midfielder Jon Routledge has joined SPL side Hamilton Academical on a loan-deal until January 2011.

The 20-year old, who made his Latics debut against Portsmouth in the final game of the 2008/09 season, spent a brief period on-loan at Swedish club Ostersunds last campaign and now teams up with James McCarthy's and James McArthur's former club for the beginning of the new season.

Roberto Martinez beleives it will be the ideal opportunity for Routledge:
