Wigan Athletic will play Hartlepool United (away)in the 2nd Round of the Carling Cup
Latics will travel to Victoria Park, Hartlepool the week after next for the 2nd Round of the Carling Cup.
The two sides have never met in the competition, and last met in Football League 2 in the 1996/97 season when both games were drawn. That game featured both Roberto Martinez, who came on as a substitute, and also Graeme Jones who got himself on the scoresheet after just 10 minutes.
