MOSES MAKES ENGLAND DEBUT

Posted on: Wed 11 Aug 2010

Moses features for Under-21's for first time whilst McCarthy is on target for Rep. Of Ireland

Latics midfielder Victor Moses made his debut for Stuart Pearce's England Under-21's last night, playing 45minutes of their 2-0 friendly win over Uzbekistan.

Goals from Tottenham's Danny Rose and Liverpool's Martin Kelly sealed the game ahead of next month's European Championship Qualifiers.

Elsewhere James McCarthy was on target for Republic of Ireland's Under-21's in their 5-0 demolition of Estonia in the European Under-21 Championship Qualifier.

It was McCarthy's first goal at this level hitting the back of the net to make it 3-0 on the hour-mark having already created the first goal for Anthony Stokes.
