Wigan Athletic Announce 2010/11 Squad Numbers

Wigan Athletic have today revealed the new first team squad numbers ahead of the brand new Barclays Premier League season, which begins this Saturday at the DW Stadium when Blackpool are the visitors. [buy tickets]

There are a number of changes to this year's list including the acquisition of the No. 4 shirt by James McCarthy and Charles N'Zogbia moves from No. 14 to No. 10.

Argentinean striker Mauro Boselli, who has bagged 6 goals in pre-season, will wear the No. 9 shirt. Paraguayan defender Antolin Alacaraz takes No. 3, James McArthur will wear No. 16, Ronnie Stam has No. 23 and on-loan 'keeper Ali Al Habsi will wear No. 26.

The new 2010/11 home kit will be available to buy from Tuesday 10th August from the new town centre Club Shop in the Galleries in Wigan, opposite BB's Café, when shirt printing will also be available. Fans can also meet Chris Kirkland, Gary Caldwell and manager Roberto Martinez, who will all be on hand to officially open the new store from approximately 2pm.
