Dundee United 1 - 3 Wigan Athletic - FULL TIME

Full Time - A well deserved win for Latics completes the pre season programme. Promising performances in all departments bode well for the coming weeks.

90 min - Jason Scotland gets a fantastic reception at his former club as he replaces Boselli.  Myrie-Williams smashes the ball against the bar from 18 yards as Dundee press.

85 min - Gomez replaces Moses.  Alcaraz is replaced by a trialist. 

GOAL - Anything you can do.....  Cadamarteri smashes in from 20 yards

WHAT A GOAL!!!!! - A Boyce cross is intelligently knocked down by Boselli to Moses who smashes the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.

80 min - Gomis fires over from 15 yards after a corner.  Conway again doing well on the left for Dundee and forcing a corner.  From the resulting corner, Jon Daly forces a world class save from Al Habsi.

75 min - Substitute Craig Conway does well down the left but crosses into the arms of Al Habsi.  Dundee starting to threaten a little more.  A Buaben free kick from 25 yards is gathered at the 2nd attempt by Al Habsi.  Craig Conway's deflected 20 yard free kick is gathered by Al Habsi.  Rodallega bursts into the box but can only find the stand from a difficult angle.

70 min - Alcaraz looking a fantastic acquisition at the back with excellent decision making on and off the ball.  McArthur and Thomas tigerish in midfield and competing well.

65 min - Dundee force a succession of corners as they try to get back into the game. Superb defending by Boyce and Caldwell, along with some confident goalkeeping from Al Habsi deals with the threat.  Wonderful combination play from Boselli, Moses and Boyce result in a cross that is unfortunately played just behind the onrushing Watson.  Boyce dribbles to the edge of the box, but his left foot effort fails to trouble Pernis.

60 min - Victor Moses robs Darren Dods and shoots straight at the 'keeper from 20 yards.  Jon Daly and Danny Cadamarteri come on for Dundee.  Rodallega shoots over from 25 yards out.  The Dundee fans have stopped booing McArthur now they've realised who he is!  Douglas and Myrie-Williams come on for Dundee.

55 min - Boselli looking fantastic up front - strong and powerful combined with neat play.  Victor Moses sees a 20 yard blockbuster blocked.  Casalinuovo misses his kick on the edge of the box after carving out an opening.  James McArthur replaces Momo Diame in midfield and is instantly booed as the home fans think that he is James McCarthy!  Sekou Baradji replaces Maynor Figueroa.

50 min - Latics started the brighter of the two sides and their efforts resulted in them doubling their lead.

GOAL!! - A wonderful cross from Figueroa is converted by Boselli with a diving header.

Half Time - Hugo skins his fullback and blasts over just before half time.  Latics the better side overall and deserving their 1-0 lead at the break. 

45 min - Latics looking comfortable since scoring despite a flurry of Dundee United pressure.  The half time pies have arrived - happy days!

40 min - Rodallega and Figueroa combining well on the left and causing problems.

GOAL!! - Moses and Rodallega combine to set up Boselli who finishes comfortably from 12 yards.

35 min - Buaben shots over from 25 yards.  Ben Watson showing fantastic vision with some wonderful switches of play.  Great trickery from Victor Moses sets up a chance for Mauro Boselli who heads wide from a difficult angle.  Buaben hits a 25 yard free kick straight at Al Habsi.

30 min - Only a superb challenge from Dixon denies Victor Moses after a great through ball.  Two goal-bound Rodallega shotsare blocked by the Dundee defence.

25 min - Stephen Caldwell - brother of Gary - who has been training with the club, replaces the injured Steve Gohouri. 

20 min - Rodallega carves an opportunity on the left but fires straight at the 'keeper.  Hendry Thomas makes an important block on the edge of the box to stop Buaben.  Casalinuovo fires straight at Al Habsi when he should do better.  Casalinuovo misses the ball two yards out with the goal at his mercy.

15 min - Dundee starting to get a foothold in the game.  Both Wigan fullbacks getting forward well to support the midfield, with Boyce in particular causing Dundee United problems.  Figueroa shows his defensive class in a 1v1 tussle with Goodwillie.

10 min - Wonderful approach play from Watson and Boyce creates an opening for Boselli which is smothered by Pernis in the Dundee goal.  Kenneth almost slices Rodallega's shot into the top corner, and is lucky to escape with only a corner conceded.  Wigan by far the better side in the opening 10 mins.

5 min - Danny Goodwillie strikes straight at Al-Habsi from a promising position on the left, while Momo Diame has a shot blocked from a Ben Watson Corner.  Mauro Boselli creates a chance himself from 18 yards which the 'keeper gathers comfortably to his left.
