Midfielder called-up to French national squad

Wigan Athletic are delighted to confirm that Charles N'Zogbia has been called-up to the French national squad to take on Norway next Wednesday, having initially been named in Laurent Blanc's provisional squad.

Having represented Les Blues at Under-21 level previously it is the midfielder's first call-up to the senior squad, following a tremendous 2009/10 season in which he was named Players' Player and Fans' Player of the Season, and aside from Samir Nasri of Arsenal is the only Premier League player in the 22-man squad.

Elsewhere, there were international call-ups for Victor Moses who'll represent England Under-21's for the first time against Uzbekistan on Tuesday and James McCarthy who'll take on Estonia for Republic of Ireland's Under-21's.

Steve Gohouri will taem-up with the Ivory Coast squad who take on Italy next Tuesday and goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi's Oman are in action against Kazakhstan on the Wednesday.

Everyone at the club wishes the players the best of luck ahead of the games, and we'll bring you news of how they get on at www.latics.tv
