Wigan on top when in comes to value in the Premier League

Wigan Athletic have come 6th out of all 92 Premier and Football League clubs when it comes to the cheapest prices for season tickets.

Only five other clubs have a cheaper highest priced season ticket, and none of those other clubs are in the Barclays Premier League. Furthermore Wigan Athletic have also failed to raise hospitality prices for six consecutive years with hospitality available from just £45 per game.

The result are taken from a recent magazine survey which compared the highest priced season tickets of each of the 92 football clubs in the Premier and Football Leagues.

Latics' most expensive season ticket for the 2010-11 season comes in at £295, with only Accrington Stanley, Bradford City, Hereford Town, Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale coming out cheaper in the FourFourTwo report.

Arsenal offer the most expensive season ticket in the country at £1,825, with the most expensive single ticket for a match at the Emirates costing £94 (compared with £27 at Wigan).

Wigan Athletic Chief Executive, Jonathan Jackson said "We are not surprised by the FourFourTwo report.

"We appreciate that finding money to watch football is a big commitment for our supporters to make and especially the loyalty of our fans who commit for a full season.

"This appreciation is reflected in our season ticket prices, and while we will also continue to try to grow the supporter base throughout the season with periodical offers, our loyal season ticket holders will always receive the best value.

"The fact that we are the 6th best value for money in the whole country demostrates how important our supporters are to our club."
