Adam Buxton made amends for an earlier penalty miss to seal a well-earned win for Latics who had to come from behind against Marine at the Arriva Stadium.

Thomas Moore had opened the scoring early on, breaking through the defence and slotting home calmly, but his celebrations were short-lived.

Within two minutes Tom Oakes pounced upon a defensive error and was presented with an open-goal - an invitation he snapped up to equalise.

A period of good pressure and dominance followed and Luke Willis made it count, slotting home after excellent work by Timothy Chow down the right-wing.

Several changes were made at the break, but it was the home side who were the next to find the back of the net, Moore again proving the thorn in the side by capitalising on a parried-shot to stroke home and bring the score-line to 2-2.

But Latics came back fighting yet again, showing tremendous attitude and winning themselves a penalty, which Adam Buxton could not convert from. But the defender made amends shortly afterwards grabbing the winner and rounding off a good performance from the team.
