Victor Moses called into England Under 21 squad to go with James McCarthy's Ireland call up
Latics manager Roberto Martinez has hailed Latics' young guns as Victor Moses joins
James McCarthy in getting an international call up.
19 year-old Moses, who has made three substitute appearances for the club since his signing from Crystal Palace, has been called up to Stuart Pearce's England Under 21 team to face Greece at the Keepmoat Stadium Doncaster in the UEFA European Championship Qualifying match on Wednesday December 3rd.
Moses has previously represented England at Under 16, 17 and 19 level.
Meanwhile,
James McCarthy, who has so impressed in the Latics team since breaking into the side in January, has been selected for his first call up to the Republic of Ireland's senior team, it was announced earlier today.
Giovanni Trapattoni's team face World Champions Brazil in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium on March 2nd
Martinez said: "This is great news for the club. James and Victor are part of the backbone of our team going forwards into the future, two of the brightest young talents in the game, and it is a huge boost and honour for them personally and for the club to be recognised in this way."

Gary Caldwell has been called into the Scotland squad to face the Czech Republic, which would be his 37th cap, but his first as a Wigan Athletic player.
Martinez said: "Gary is a leader on and off the field and we will benefit from his experience when he represents his country."
