Richard Kingson's Ghana prepare for Semi-Final showdown

Richard Kingson will be hoping to captain Ghana to the Final of the African Cup of Nations today as the Black Stars take on Nigeria in the Semi-Finals.

After defeating host-nation Angola in the Quarter-Finals, Ghana are now one step from the Final, but must overcome fierce rivals Nigeria first, whose stars include Everton's Yakubu and Joseph Yobo, and Chelsea's Mikel John Obi.

The Super Eagles only just made it through to this stage by beating Zambia 5-4 on penalties, after their game finished goalless.

The winners will go on to face either Egypt or Algeria in the Final on Sunday, with the two losing sides competing for Third Place on Saturday.

Wigan Athletic Manager Roberto Martinez sent his good luck wishes to the Latics 'keeper:

"We've all been following him from here, he had a very good game against Angola in the Quarter Finals and it's great that Ghana are going further and further in the competition," said Martinez.

"Richard has been working very hard all season and he's now getting the rewards he deserves and we all wish him well for the upcoming game against Nigeria."

The game kicks-off at 16:00 GMT and is live on Eurosport.
