Daniel de Ridder seals Hapoel loan deal

Wigan Athletic can confirm that Dutch midfielder Daniel de Ridder has joined Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv on-loan until the end of the season.

De Ridder - whose mother hails from Israel - travelled to Tel Aviv this week to seal the deal after the clubs agreed terms.



The Dutch winger has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, and last featured for Latics in the final game of the 2008/09 season, at home to Portsmouth.

The former Ajax, Celta Vigo, Birmingham City and Holland Under 21 winger joined Wigan Athletic in July 2007, and has made 18 league appearances in total, all but five as a substitute.
