SUNDAY'S GONNA BE A GOOD DAY

Posted on: Mon 23 Nov 2009

The Latics are due a good away performance and there could be an upset on the cards at White Hart Lane this weekend.

We lost at Hull, then ended Burnley's 100 per cent record, then there was Portsmouth. Now we need an upbeat performance again and Spurs have slipped since the heady heights at the start of the season.

They lost at home to Stoke and Sunderland were unlucky not to get something from the Lane as well so the prospect of a Wigan win at 7.20 cannot be lightly dismissed.

The changing face of football betting however means there are now lots more ways to bet and the most interesting for this game is the Asian Handicap market.

In this Wigan are given a one goal start and their odds of winning with that are currently 2.11.It means that you win if the lads win or draw and if Spurs win by a single goal you get your stake back. You only lose if Spurs win by two goals or more.

188BET, the official sponsor and betting partner of Wigan Athletic is the market leader in In-Play betting, offering markets on more than 3,000 games every month. The pre-match odds on this weekend's trip to White Hart Lane are 1.45 Tottenham; 7.20 Wigan and 3.95 the draw. The real excitement though will lie in what happens during the game.

When Wigan played Burnley their opening odds were 3.20.After four minutes we were one nil down and the odds had gone to 6.80.Within another six minutes we were level and the odds were back to 3.00.Two more goals and all backers were happy, none quite as much as those who struck when the price was right between the fourth and tenth minutes.
