Martinez's first fans forum goes down a treat

Roberto Martinez held his first fans forum at the DW Stadium tonight in front of 350 Latics fans eager to put the gaffer in the spot-light!

Answering a range of questions, from youth-policy to transfer specualtion to who he would have play him in his own movie, Martinez was typically frank and open in his answers, treating the fans to a special evening.

There was even a special guest appearance from the Division Three title Martinez and Latics lifted back in 1996-97 which provided a nice sight and a reminder of one of the gaffer's finest moments at the club.

Graham Lovett, as ever, was his eloquent self, and proved to be the host with the most, bringing his extensive vocabulary and rasping voice to the evening's proceedings.

In all a fantastic occasion, enjoyed by all giving the gaffer the opportunity to meet and greet the fans and discuss a wide range of topics…and the pie and peas weren't bad either!
