Frenchman happy with life at Wigan and looking forward to pre-season tests
By Paul Chialton
Since joining the club back at the start of the year Charles N'Zogbia has had little problem settling in to life at Wigan and has shown fans what an asset he can be for the club.
Latics' record-signing is now looking forward to his first pre-season with the club after rounding off a successful season on a high, and sees the next campaign as a real opportunity to for the club to keep moving in the right direction:
"It's a really good feeling to get a win in the last game of the season, and it was nice to give the fans something to celebrate again.
"The manager wanted us to get a win from our last game for the benefit of everyone at the club. We worked throughout the game and put everything in and thankfully we got what we deserved.
"It's been hard recently with results not going our way but we kept working hard and got something in the end. We'll be putting the effort in again over the summer to make sure we're all ready for next season.
"When you first arrive at a club you need to get an understanding of how the team likes to play, which can be difficult. But after a while you get used to it and you gel in and I feel I've been able to do that fairly quickly.
"I'm looking forward to my first pre-season with Wigan Athletic and to working with all the coaching staff more.
"Hopefully it'll all come together to make sure we start next season off in the right way."
