Wigan Athletic make the short trip down the East Lancashire Road to Goodison Park in Sunday's Barclay's Premier League match with Everton, kick off 3.00pm.

Everton have a narrow edge on Latics in the Head to Head stats having beaten Latics three times in the top flight to Latics two wins.  The two sides have also mustered up a couple of draws.

However, last time the two met at the JJB Stadium in November it was an Henri Camara goal that gave Latics all three points.

Team News

Valencia
Valencia featured in both of Ecuador's games this week

Amr Zaki is not expected to be involved with the team this week as he clearly has some making up to do with Manager Steve Bruce, not to mention the reported Hamstring injury.  Jason Koumas may be struggling with a niggling hip injury but other than that, Latics should have everybody else available, including Antonio Valencia who missed the win over Hull City but then featured in both of Ecuador's internationals this week.

Everton may have to leave it late to decide on the inclusion of Tim Cahill who remained in Australia to recover from a calf injury following their 2-0 over Uzbekistan on Wednesday.  Tony Hibbert has resumed training this week but Sunday's game may be too early for him and David Moyes is still waiting for Tim Howard to return following international duty.

Stat of the Week

Everton have scored the most headed goals in the Premier League this season, 13 in total while Latics have conceded the fewest headed goals, just 2. Can you remember them? Answer at the bottom!

The Manager

Eric Black
BLACK SPOT: The assistant deputised for Steve Bruce

Eric Black sat in the hot seat at this week's press call ahead of this game as Steve Bruce wasn't available, and the Lanarkshire-born assistant says that Latics will have to have a lot of respect for the Toffees.

"We've had lots of big games lately and this one is big again, they're a great team and their manager has done a fabulous job and it will be a big task.  But we're going there with confidence, two victories out of two games, and hopefully we'll have our internationals back and fit.

"Obviously the first target was to get the 40-41 points and we hope that'll be enough and now we have to look to kick on and hope we can end the season on a high."

Everton start this game as favourites 8/11, Wigan a decent price at 9/2.If you want a punt at a draw 12/5 are the odds.

Mido Action 320 e-shot
Mido and Wigan 1-0 - 60/1 with bet365.

Ben Watson has found the net in his two previous games and if you the fancy the former Crystal Palace midfielder to make it three on-the-bounce, there's great value in an anytime goal at 11/2 (18/1 for the first or last goal.)  Mido (pictured above) would be the favourite to lead the line for Latics on Sunday and if you think he could be the difference in a 1-0 win for Wigan, 1-0 Wigan with Mido scoring the only goal would get you odds of 60/1 on the scorecast.
