Lee Cattermole expressed his satisfaction in Latics' performance at Newcastle on Saturday, earning a good result for their performance.

Cattermole explained that whilst Wigan are on an unbeaten run in the league, they must start continue to put in good displays and start coming away from games with all three points:

"In the league we're unbeaten in three games and that's a good achievement, but we need to start making three points.

"If Camara's chance goes in then it's game over and three points in the bag. But it wasn't to be.

"I thought in the first-half we started really well. We started getting a couple of injuries and ending up being on the back foot towards the end of the half.

"But we came out in the second-half and started well pressing on again. The sending off changed the game and made it hard for us, but we battled on and in the end got a good result."

It was Emmerson Boyce's sending off that has been the main talking point of the game. The referee giving a second yellow card to the defender for a seemingly good tackle, and Cattermole talked of his surprise at the decision:

"From my view I clearly saw him get the ball. We explained to the referee but he had already sent him off and couldn't do anything about it. You've just got to take it on the chin and get on with it."

Titus Bramble's last gasp equaliser ensured Wigan came away with a much deserved point, and the stand-in skipper was delighted for his team-mate:

"It was nice for Titus to score against his old club. He was getting jeered a few times during the game so it was good for him to get the final laugh at the end."
