A disappointed Jason Koumas reflected on Sunday's performance against Aston Villa and stressed how important it was to get back to winning ways, starting on Wednesday against Fulham;

"It's a big game on Wednesday for us, a game we've definately got to get something out of.

"We're playing well but we're not winning.

"Whereas last year we were hard to beat, at the moment we're leaking goals, and we need to put it right."

The defeat on Sunday will come as a big disappointment to the team who have certainly been playing well of late, but are just not getting the results needed;

"It was a bad result for us and we're going through a sticky patch at the minute. We definately need something from somewhere.

"The gaffer was right though, we need to get back to what we were doing last year.

"When we were in trouble then we were hard to beat. At the moment we're leaking goals and we can't do that."

Steve Bruce and the squad will be keen to learn from the mistakes made at the weekend and prepare for the upcoming fixtures against Fulham and Portsmouth;

"We knew they (Villa) we going to be dangerous, and we coped well up until the penalty." said Koumas.

"But the three goals afterwards were mistakes, bad goals defensively.

"It's something we'll work on this week going into two big games. It's a big week for us."
