FULL TIME- LATICS 0-1 MIDDLESBROUGH: A dominant Latics were cruelly denied by a resiliant Boro side. Although Latics seemed to be on top for the majority of the game, Jermaine Aliadiere provided some last minute heartbreak to win the match for the visitors.

89 min- GOAL FOR BORO: Heartbreak fo Latics as Jermaine Aliadiere scores late for Boro. Stewart Downing heads through the Latics defence. Aliadiere beats his man and pokes home to score for the visitors.

87 min - Late drama here at the JJB. Substitute Daniel de Ridder sends through Henri Camara. Ross Turnbull slips on his way to the ball but the Boro defence somehow clear the danger.

85 min - Daniel de Ridder enters the frame, replacing Wilson Palacios.

84 min - It's all Latics here as Boro seem content with a point. Henri Camara flicks on for Emile Heskey whose shot is saved well by Ross Turnbull.

81 min - Henri Camara enters the pitch replacing top scorer Amr Zaki.

80 min - Jason Koumas provides some late pressure for Latics as his mazey run beats the Boro defence but his strike is saved by Turnbull.

79 min - Boro substitution: Adam Johnson replaces Alfonso Alves.

68 min - Latics substitution: Straight swap by Steve Bruce as Jason Koumas replaces Olivier Kapo on the left wing.

66 min - Latics are fighting back here. Emile Heskey lays off a neat ball to the impressive Wilson Palacios. Palacios' shot curls goalward but is denied by Ross Turnbull.

61 min - It's the away side now who are starting to pile the pressure on with both Chris Riggot and Stewart Downing coming close.

59 min - Boro subsituton: Mohammed Shawky makes way for Didier Digard.

56 min - Paul Scharner now enters Mr Atkinson's book as he brings down Alfonso Alves.

52 min - All three home stands are bouncing here as Latics fans are really creating an atmosphere.

50 min - Latics start very brightly again. Antonio Valencia makes his path into the Boro box, his strike is blocked and the rebound falls right in the path of Wilson Palacios. The Honduran can't keep his shot down though as it sails over the crossbar.

Half Time - Another impressive performance from Latics who are again showing just why they are where they are in the table. Lee Cattermole has impressed against his old club whilst his centre midfield partner Wilson Palacios has been creative throughout. All that lacks now is a goal, which is also what is deserved.

39 min - Mohammed Shawky the recipient of another challenge as Lee Cattermole now enters the referee's book.

37 min - Amr Zaki is booked for a challenge on Mohammed Shawky.

32 min - As I type that, Boro have their best chane so far. Mido crosses from the right finding David Wheater in acres of space. The defender's header drifts over the bar.

30 min - Much to the pundit's disappointment, this is turning out to be a really exciting match. Lee Cattermole and Wilson Palacios both playing fantastically and bossing the midfield giving Latics the edge over their north east opponents.

28 min - Great move from Latics who are really opening up now. Maynor Figueroa crosses to Emile Heskey on the edge of the box. Heskey chests he ball down well to Wilson Palacios who is having a fantastic game. Palacios takes a touch and drives well at goal, being blocked for a corner in the process.

26 min - Boro have their first decent chance of the game. Stewart Doning's free kick 20 yards out dips over the Latics wall and just over the Latics goal.

19 min - Antonio Valencia is clearly inspired from his rocket last week. Zaki plays a neat ball to the Ecuadorian who, 35 yards from goal, strike at goal. Unfortunately this week it is a couple of yards over the crossbar.

15 min - The two egyptians are receiving some praise. Boro's chant of MIDO MIDO is met with a firm response of ZAKI ZAKI from the Latics faithful.

11 min -  Latics break through again. Zaki is brought down by David Wheater. Antonio Valencia steps up and whips a fantastic ball into the box finding Amr Zaki at the far post. Zaki drills his shot into the side netting.

9 min - First real chance of the match. A long kick from Kirkland is nodded on by Emile Heskey into the path of Wilson Palacios. Palacios takes a neat touch into the box giving him a great angle on goal. His shot drags just wide of Ross Turnbull's far post.

5 min - Some nice early pressure from Latics here who are camped firmly in the final 3rd. Numerous crosses being cleared by a strong Boro defence before 'keeper Ross Turnbull finally has the ball in his grasp to relieve the away side of some pressure.

2 min - Bright start here at the JJB. Early break for Boro as Stewart Downing bursts down the left. He was met by some brilliant Mario Melchiot defending, not only blocking the cross but deflecting it against Downing for a goal kick.
