Wigan Athletic return to the JJB Stadium this Saturday to face one busiest clubs in the summer transfer market.  Sunderland have brought in no less than ten new faces during the summer, most of which could be on display on Saturday.

And midfielder, Lee Cattermole, says that playing against Sunderland so soon after his arrival at the JJB will still seem like a local derby game to him.

"Sunderland's going to be a good game," he said, "I was saying to my dad that it's still going to seem like a local derby.

"I've known it as a derby all my life and it still feels that way."

Speaking to Latics World this afternoon, the Stockton-on-Tees-born midfield general will also be welcoming some old friends to the JJB Stadium to witness the action.

"I'm looking forward to it, I've got a lot of friends coming down on Saturday to watch the game - and all will be supporting Wigan of course."

However, the 20 year-old, who has started all three Barclays Premier League games so far this season, says there's still a lot to do to prepare for the game in the next day or so as some of the squad have still not arrived back from international duty.

"Today is Thursday, two days before a game, and we still haven't got our full squad back together yet, so we'll obviously have to knuckle down tomorrow and get set for the game.

But the good news, Lee says, is that the players that are back, are all well and fit.

"Everyone who is in today are all fit.

"The lads who played last night - Emile, Kev Kilbane and lads like that have just been resting up today with a view to training tomorrow."
