Emile Heskey has been named in the England sqaud for the Czech Republic friendly.

England manager Fabio Capello has recalled Wigan striker Emile Heskey in a 23-man squad for Wednesday's friendly international against the Czech Republic at Wembley.

Heskey was selected in Capello's first squad against Switzerland in February but had to pull out because of injury.

Peter Crouch, who left Liverpool for Portsmouth in the summer with his England career in mind, was not included in the squad.

The match with the Czech Republic is a warm-up for England's first two qualifying matches in the 2010 World Cup campaign.

Capello's side play Andorra away on September 6, and then play Croatia in Zagreb on September 10.
