Post match reaction from Black and Bramble
With Latics gearing up for their final pre-season friendly away to Utrecht this Sunday, Eric Black and Titus Bramble reflected on some good performances so far and looked forward to the Barclays Premier League opener against West Ham next Saturday.
Speaking to 'Latics World' after the recent 1-0 win against Hibs, Black, a former Aberdeen player, reminisced on his return to his homeland and on the performance.
"It's always nice to come back up and we knew we would get a reasonably stiff test.
"Hibs worked very hard against us and thankfully we won the game."
In what was set to be a tough game for Steve Bruce's men Amr Zaki sealed the win with his second goal in as many games, making it three wins on the bounce for Latics.
After playing 7 games so far the team have netted 17 times, which is testament to the hard work being put in to ensure good momentum going into the new season.
Bramble commented on a good work-out against Hibs, keeping a firm eye on the all important first game of the season:
"We came out on fire and after that we faded a little, which was a bit disappointing, but it means we need to be sharper.
"It's what pre-season's all about really, getting 90min under your belt and getting ready for the West Ham game."
Latics will now look towards Sunday's game against Utrecht, eager to get a good result ahead of the season opener, a game remember, you can listen to on Latics World.
