Wigan Athletic have confirmed today that Nigerian striker Julius Aghahowa.has agreed a deal with Kayserispor, which will see him officially join the Turkish Super League club from July 1st.

The 26 year-old was presented to the Turkish media yesterday after putting pen to paper on a three year deal, and thus ending his 18 month stay at the JJB Stadium.

He made 19 appearances in the Premier League, 14 from the substitutes bench, and 22 appearances in total.

Latics manager Steve Bruce said: "Julius is a lovely guy and he tried his best to adjust to life in the Premier League. I never found fault with his attitude or effort in training or when selected.

"However, he never really managed to get started while I've been at the club and I think it's best for both parties that he moves on.

"I wish him all the best and I hope he enjoys success in his new club."
