MICKY'S SHIRT
Micky's Shirt - Lasting Tribute to Graham.
Wigan Athletic played Scarborough in the 1973 FA Trophy Final at Wembley where they lost 2-1 after extra-time. But the FA Trophy Final is just the start of this happy and sad tale.
Official Programme from the Final
Life long Latics fan Graham Hill and wife Caroline (known as Caz) moved out to Lanzarote in 1999, where they opened up a bar called "Bourbon Street".
They decorated the bar with all kinds of memorabilia, mostly music and sport. Amongst the many items on display were Graham's favourite guitar, signed Beatles records and the shirt worn by Micky Worswick in that 1973 Wembley Final.

The story of how Graham came to own the shirt is also an interesting one.Graham's love of music came through years of playing the club circuit as a member of well-known Wigan band Rainbow Cottage, who once had a single in the charts titled "Seagulls".
Graham along with Rainbow Cottage were asked to play at a testimonial dinner for Micky Worswick, and of course being a Latics fan, Graham was happy to do this for free. As a thank you, Worswick gave the band his Wembley Shirt which until recently proudly graced the wall of the "Bourbon Street" bar, Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote.

Sadly, Graham lost his beloved wife Caz in early 2007 and then tragically, Graham also died in July of the same year leaving behind his daughter Alex, named after Graham's favourite Latics player Alex Cribley.
Graham's friend and Latics fan John Ronan (pictured top right) managed to salvage the shirt and thought it would be a fitting memorial to his long time friend if it were to be returned to the Club he loved.
The shirt now sits proudly on the wall of the JJB Stadium's Export Lounge where Latics fans can once again enjoy this splendid piece of Latics history.
