Andy Man can hit Swede spot - Hutchings
Latics manager Chris Hutchings believes new boy Andreas Granqvist has potential to be 'a big hitter' in the top flight.
Chris Hutchings was in buoyant mood after securing his 4th signing as manager in the shape of the giant Swedish international, and said: "It's another body, and sends out all the right messages about the direction we're moving in as a club.

"Andreas has the potential to be a big hitter and really go on and be a major player for us," said Hutchings.
"We couldn't have had a better opportunity to look at him last season and I am in no doubts as to what he can bring to us.
"In fact, he was a little unlucky not to feature more towards the end of the season I would say.

"What also impressed me personally about him," added Hutchings, "was that despite having to be patient for his chances in the first team, he was always the model professional, working hard in training and giving the coaching staff a real selection headache.

"I feel that with a proper pre-season under his belt, he will really give me options in the centre-half position."
Hutchings now turns his attention to more new signings.
"We are chasing targets, and have specific positions in mind where we feel we need to strengthen. If the right player becomes available, we will do everything as a club in our power to net the players who will improve the squad.
"It's gone very well so far, with four quality additions and now we carry on the search."
