Club launches children's kit - without sponsor's logo.

Young Wigan Athletic fans can now purchase their brand new 2009-10 kits online or from the Latics Club Shop at the JJB Stadium, with every junior size NOT carrying the 188BET logo.

The club and 188BET made this decision in line with Premier League guidelines and both Brenda Spencer, Latics Chief Executive, and Andy Scott, CEO of 188BET fully back the move.

"We pride ourselves on how many young fans we have at Wigan Athletic," she said, "and our junior supporter policy is among the best in the Premier League - we are still the club with the highest proportion of Under 16 season ticket holders. That makes us all very proud because these are our supporters of the future."

She added: "We are delighted to have signed the deal with 188BET, the biggest in our history, but at the same time, we feel it is important to be sensitive to our younger supporters, and we feel that as a club we have to have maintain a degree of social responsibility".

Andy Scott, CEO of 188BET, is in total agreement: "This is the right thing to do", he said, "we are extremely proud of our exciting new partnership with Wigan Athletic and we are sensitive to the fact that the club has so many passionate young supporters - they are the future!"
