A fantastic result for Graham Barrow's men who stretch their unbeaten record to three games with a well-earned 1-1 draw away at Liverpool in a rain-soaked encounter at Prenton Park.

Jordan Mustoe's equaliser minutes after going behind characterises perfectly the spirit and determination in Barrow's team who have really turned a corner lately scoring 10 goals in their last three league games and backing them up with fine performances.

After the referee awarded Latics a free-kick 20-yards out there was just one thought in Mustoe's mind, and his drilled left-footed effort found the back of the net leaving Martin Hansen with no chance.

Moments earlier Martin Kelly had opened the scoring for the Reds, latching onto a Francisco Duran free-kick at close-range and blasting home.

Until that point it had been a tight affair, both clubs going head to head whilst in good form and looking to move up the table. Barrow's side have found a good understanding of the concepts being taught to them recently, and knowing that they are getting the rewards they deserve they started the game full of confidence.

It took just 16 minutes for the away side to find a breakthrough, Daniel Redmond flashing a ball across the face of the goal from the left-wing, inches from Adam Buxton's outstretched leg.

At the other end Lee Nicholls was sharp in keeping Liverpool at bay, denying first Alex Kacaniklic and then Lauri Dalla Valle.

Rachid Bouaouzan came close before the break, breaking into the area and shooting low, but too close to Hansen who prevented the winger from opening the scoring.

Both sides pushed for a winner late on but whilst creative going Latics were resilient at the back and were good value for the point they came away with.
