RESERVES: Bolton 3 Latics 0. Tough workout against strong Wanderers side

BOLTON WANDERERS 3
LATICS 0

A highly experienced Wanderers side were made to work really hard against a Latics team consisting mostly of young pros, two late goals giving the final scoreline a somewhat flattering air in the end.

Latics Youth Team coach Dave Watson said it was a terrific workout for the team: "They will have learned far more from playing against players with international and Premier League experience than against players of their own age, so although the result has gone against us, I thought some of the performances were really excellent."
