RESERVES: Tomasz Cywka nets brace as Bertschin's boys go down fighting

A young Latics team featuring five youth team players twice led against a more experienced City side but were undone by a late goal at Sports City.

Young Pole Tomasz Cwyka scored twice to put Latics 1-0 and 2-1 up with well taken goals and Reserve Team Manager Keith Bertschin said he was delighted with the attitude of his young team.

"Considering five of them are still getting used to playing at Youth Team level," he said, "I thought they did really well and were just a bit unlucky at the end. But it'll be a great learning curve for them."
