Latics launch official ticket marketplace with UK's largest online marketplace dedicated to tickets
Wigan Athletic Football Club and GET ME IN! (www.getmein.com), the UK's largest open marketplace dedicated to tickets for sports, entertainment, music and other live events, have announced a multi-year partnership agreement that will create an Official Wigan Athletic Ticket Marketplace on the getmein.com website and see GET ME IN! become a sponsor of the Latics.
The deal is the first Premier League Football partnership for the nation's most popular secondary ticket market and will allow Latics supporters to sell tickets in a safe and trusted environment for sold out fixtures.It will also allow new fans from around the globe to easily access tickets for Wigan Athletic fixtures in the Premier League, FA Cup, and other competitions.Selected Latics hospitality packages and single match tickets direct from the Club will also be available on www.getmein.com.
Wigan chief executive Brenda Spencer commented on the deal: "We are delighted to announce this partnership with GET ME IN! in time for our third consecutive season in the Premier League.We are excited to offer this marketplace to our supporters and proud to have GET ME IN! as a long term partner."
According to the terms of the deal, Wigan Athletic season ticket holders will be able to sell tickets through GET ME IN! for selected home fixtures that have sold out, allowing other fans to attend.Along with the decision to reduce season ticket prices for the 2007/2008 season, it is one of several Latics' initiatives designed to reward loyal fans for their support.
