Club's shirt signing session 'a massive success' as hundreds turn up to Club shop.

Hundreds of Latics fans turned out to meet the first team squad at the club shop last Friday, to celebrate the club slashing prices for replica shirts.
In a unique initiative, Latics boss Roberto Martinez made his entire first team squad available, and fans responded by queuing up in their hundreds to have their shirts signed and meet the lads in person.

Supporters were able to chat to the players in the Players' Lounge at the DW Stadium and Martinez said: "I have always said that the supporters are the lifeblood of the club and I am more than happy to pay back their support with events like this."

He added: "The atmosphere at the DW this season has been fantastic and the fans have a huge role to play in the final three games of the season, starting on Wednesday against Portsmouth, where we need to create a hostile atmosphere."
