Wigan Athletic promise match tickets for all those taking part in major litter pick.

Wigan Athletic are delighted to announce that any supporters taking part in the big Douglas Valley litter pick this coming Saturday will be given a complimentary pair of tickets to Latics versus Portsmouth next Wednesday April 14^th as a thank you for their efforts!

The Douglas Valley Litter Pick, organised by Friends of Douglas Valley and backed by the Tidy Britain Group, will help to clean up this area of natural beauty on our doorstep.



Members of the group met up with some of the Latics players this week to officially endorse the idea and John Belshaw from the group said: "It's fantastic the club are getting behind us. Many hands make light work!"

Latics manager Roberto Martinez said: "We take our place in the community very seriously as a club, which is why I am delighted we can support schemes such as these!

"I hope many of our fans turn up and help to clean up our back yard!"

The volunteers will meet at the top of the steps leading into the Douglas Valley at Rosemary Crescent in Whelley, Wigan, at 10.00 am on Saturday 10th April and all equipment will be provided.
