Latics skipper Mario Melchiot and his Dutch compatriot Daniel de Ridder will be at the Wigan Athletic club shop tomorrow, Thursday August 13 from 1.00pm, to launch Latics' stunning new 'Spirit of 78' away kit.
The bright orange strip, so reminiscent of Holland's colours in the 1978 World Cup, will receive its first competitive airing for the trip to Aston Villa in this Saturday's Premier League opener, and Latics fans will be able to purchase it from tomorrow, at 9.00am.
New Club Mascot Stripey the Laticat will be on hand to help out as the club expects good numbers to purchase the new orange shirt early! 
While stocks last, fans will also receive a free 'Latics Lanyard', while the 100th customer through the door will receive a free
Fans will also be able to enter a competition to win an away shirt signed by none other than the one player who sums up
The kit is modelled on one of the best teams ever to grace a football pitch, the 1978 Dutch side who took the world by storm with their total football.
1978 is of course the year that the Latics claimed their place in the Football League and following a meteoric rise, the club looks forward to kicking off its FIFTH Barclays Premier League campaign.
The retro kit manufactured by technical kit partner Vandanel, features the club's principal sponsor 188BET and a unique sleeve design.
Melchiot, Club Captain and Dutch international, welcomes the new kit as homage to the two great events in 1978: "It's a nice design and obviously brings back some happy memories for myself of the Dutch side who made it famous.
"The new manager we have certainly values the importance of keeping possession and working our way around teams so hopefully it'll have a positive influence on us."
