Club receive 4000 applications for tickets as "Show Your Colours" promotion gathers pace.

As part of Latics' Show Your Colours campaign, the Club invited local youth groups, schools and individuals to apply for tickets for the upcoming game against Aston Villa on Sunday 26^th October.

The invitation has proved a huge success as the Club have so far received over 4000 applications for tickets.

Commercial Director, Paul Hunt said, "The response has been overwhelming in the run up to this fixture and we hope to be able to continue the process for future games in a bid to build the support base of the Club.

"We hope that the initiative will continue to give youngsters the opportunity to come and see what Wigan athletic are all about and experience the excitement of match day at the JJB Stadium."

The "Show Your Colours" campaign is an ongoing project to create awareness, build support and instil pride among existing supporters.

A further part of the campaign will see the rear of the West Stand below the executive boxes turned into a giant blue and white scarf.
