ENGLAND 3/1 TO BEAT BELARUS

Posted on: Mon 13 Oct 2008

England 3/1 to beat Belarus (after being level at the break)

Will it be another three points for Fabio Capello's team on Wednesday night? Certainly if they repeat the kind of performance that beat Croatia 4-1, they should oblige at the bet365 odds of 1/3. However, it might take them a while to get their noses in front.

Belarus are no mugs, having beaten Holland last year, and the 3/1 about England drawing at half-time and then winning at full-time could be the best option. This has now happened against Andorra and Kazakhstan, so there's every reason to think the same might happen this week.

A 2-1 win in favour of the visitors is a 7/1 chance with bet365, while a narrow 1-0 win can be backed at 6/1. Meanwhile, Emile Heskey is 5/1 to score the first goal of the match, Wayne Rooney is 7/2 and Frank Lampard is 11/2. Theo Walcott could be worth a bet to score at any time and he's 7/5 with bet365.
