Let's turn the JJB into a season blue and white this Saturday.

Latics manager Steve Bruce has called on Latics fans to come and cheer on the lads this Saturday when Wigan Athletic host Sunderland at the JJB.

"The crowd does make such a difference to the players," said the Gaffer, "When the atmosphere in the JJB gets going, it can be a real boost for the players who put on the shirt.

"We had a great result at Hull, but that won't really mean anything if we can't follow that up with a win against Sunderland.

"This team is undoubtedly one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of managing. They are a fantastic group of professionals, and when you have the likes of Zaki, Valencia, Palacios and Heskey in the side you have lads who can lift a crowd with a moment of magic. So I would say to the people of Wigan. Come down and watch your team, they are doing your town extremely proud.

"People talk about a 12th man, and it is a cliche.  But only becasue it's true.

"I remember the atmosphere the Wigan supporters generated in those games last season against Birmingham and Bolton, and especially in the last game of the season against Manchester United. That's what we need to recreate every week becasue it brought a chill to my spine.

"Sunderland are going to be bringing a big following with them, and it's up to the team on the field and the fans in the stand to keep them quiet!!"
