Chief Executive Brenda Spencer issues statement following the match against Chelsea

The club has confirmed that two arrests were made for racist chanting during Sunday's match against Chelsea.

The incidents occurred in Block ES2 on the East Stand.

The club wants to remind its supporters that there is a Zero Tolerance policy on any instances of racism at the JJB Stadium and that any supporters found to be breaking the law will be ejected from the ground and arrested. This includes name calling or chanting, alone or in groups.

Brenda Spencer, Chief Executive, said: "The majority of our fans display exemplary behaviour, which is extremely pleasing and I think deserves a huge amount of praise.

"It is disappointing when incidents like this occur and I am delighted to say that these occurrences are very rare these days.

"As a club, we are fully behind the Kick Racism Out Of Football campaign, and we remain fully committed to ridding the game of the blight of racism."

"I would urge anyone who hears or witnesses racist abuse to talk to the stewards or the police immediately or to ring the KICK RACISM OUT OF FOOTBALL HOTLINE on 0800 1699414."
