For the visit of
DerbyCounty to the JJB Stadium on Saturday 23rd February, Wigan Athletic are delighted to announce another of its successful and very popular Community Days. Local schools and youth groups will be offered a free ticket for the Barclays Premier League fixture; with the game itself will carrying additional interest as it marks the first return of former Latics chief Paul Jewell.

The Club is sending out information to local schools and clubs who have previously taken part in this incredible community initiative, and are appealing to all other youth groups, teams and schools to contact them in order that as many local youngsters have the opportunity to take part and enjoy the day at their local Premier League club.

Wigan Athletic Commercial Director Paul Hunt commented "We are proud of our position within the local community, and as Wigan Athletic grows on the field, so we continue to endeavour to develop off it. Schemes such as this have the benefits of attracting youngsters to the JJB Stadium as well as rewarding the hard work of the teachers and leaders at our local schools, sporting teams and youth groups."

The long term aim of campaigns such as this one is to continue to develop the support for the Club locally and support the fantastic work which is done by our local youth groups.
