Wigan Athletic support hundreds of charities each season by the following means:

4 Signed memorabilia for fundraising activities/events
4 Match day fundraising and promoting the cause e.g. Programme articles
4 Player endorsements/quotes
4 Player visits to fundraising events or visiting patients who benefit from the charity
4 Prizes e.g. tickets, goodie bags...

Each year the club nominates two main charities and a third allocated charity to split our allocation of community monies. In 2006/07 these were: Derian House and Wigan & Leigh Hospice.

Charity Requests for Signed Merchandise

Wigan Athletic receives many requests per week requesting signed merchandise to help raise funds for charities and for individual causes.

Because the demand exceeds the amount of signed merchandise we receive, we have created a policy to ensure signed merchandise is distributed fairly and that the profits for they charity reach maximum level.

Therefore please read our Charity Policy before requesting a piece of signed merchandise to enable us to process requests quickly and effectively.

Also please see our nominated charities before making a request. If your charity request is for one of these charities, it is unlikely that we will support the request as we already helping them. This avoids any duplication and makes it a fair process.

If you feel your request meets the requirements of the Charity Policy then please send your request in writing, giving full details of the event that you are holding, which charity will benefit and your contact details no later than one month prior to the merchandise is needed (e.g. in time for a fundraising auction) to:

Charity Requests, Wigan Athletic Football Club, The JJB Stadium, Robin Park, Newton, Wigan, WN5 OUZ. We do not accept requests via phone/fax/e-mail or in person.
