Several members from Wigan Youth Zone were selected as our Team of the Week for the Reading game.
The group from Wigan Youth Zone arrived prior to the match and were shown around the Stadium, including a quick tour of the dressing room and look inside the tunnel!
They were then taken pitch-side and held a meet and greet with the Wigan Athletic players as they arrived for the game.
Once all of the players had arrived at the Stadium, the team were then taken to the Team Latics hub, where they had the chance to test their skills at Table Tennis, Basketball and Football precision. The hub is open in the lead up to every home game, from 1.30pm until kick off.
For those who stayed in the hub, there was a second chance to meet Wigan Athletic Keeper Lee Nicholls, who arrived to meet the Team Latics members for photographs. Lee was also on hand to complete the draw from the first 20 Team Latics members through the door for a new season home shirt.
A number of the Team of the Week were also chosen to take part in our half-time 90-second challenge, where the challengers got the ball rolling with a solid score of five.
Exclusively for the Reading game, the first 20 Team Latics members who came into the Hub were offered the opportunity to come back as our Team of the Week for the next home game against Blackpool.
If you would like to enter your team for one of the home games this season, and give them the opportunity to receive the Team of the Week experience, you can find the application form here.
